Review Of The Worship Of Yahweh Album Launch And Worship Concert

The stage was lit against a white and black backdrop, with red neon lights streaming through. Soft melodious instrumentals announced the opening,  ‘The Worship of Yahweh’ was happening live, People trooped in and the anticipation and excitement was palpable.

We began the evening proper with an amazing ministration by a lady and her violin. For almost 20 minutes Victoria Orenze ( who rewrote the song, “You are the reason,” originally written by Chris Shalom ) reminded us it was all about Yahweh and led everyone into spontaneous worship. The atmosphere was charged and that absolutely set the tone for Enitan Adaba who steered the ship further, pressing in to the overflow in a very passionate worship session.

With hands lifted and eyes towards the heavens, the congregation worshipped as Modele recited a poem exalting the Great and Almighty God and declaring that everything with breath should praise the Lord accompanied by the drums, cymbals and horns. Mairo Ese came on stage singing his first song of the night “We Praise You Medley” then He welcomed Modele back on stage to a powerful rendition of ‘Hallelujah, you have won the victory.’ That was the introduction, we were just getting warmed up.

The lady compere for the night Rolake Akinkugbe then welcomed everyone and specially introduced and celebrated Mairo’s mum who was clearly overjoyed. We watched a video featuring several ministers talking about what worship meant to them. It was very insightful. Mairo also talked about the journey to ‘The Worship of Yahweh.’ Then came the ministrations of Minister Ken and Tosin Martins with the audience bursting in rapturous ceebration of the fatherhood of God.

Then it was time for the Dedication proper anchored by Pastor Dele Balogun who introduced Mrs Nkoyo Rapu, wife of Pastor Tony Rapu, Senior Pastor of This Present House, Rev Obi Pax-Harry of Resurrection Life Assembly Birmingham, UK and Nehemiah Company Nigeria, Pastor Godman Akinlabi of The Elevation Church, Lekki and Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo of David’s Christian Centre, Lekki. Led by Mrs Rapu, the pastors all prayed for Mairo and sent the album forth into the earth. There were powerful declarations made upon Mairo and his ministry by the pastors with the audience joining in agreement.

After the prayers, Mairo specially asked the Pastors to pray for all the music ministers that were present at the launch led by Pastor Godman Akinlabi of The Elevation Church and Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo of David’s Christian Centre.

Joseph Benjamin the co- compere for the night also spoke of what worship meant to him and spoke glowingly about his relationship with Mairo . Mairo sang 4 more songs from the album and the atmosphere was glorious. He blessed God in His native Isoko dialect with the songs ‘Onowo’ and ‘Oghene’ and he then introduced his friend and brother Nathaniel Bassey whom he featured on the song ” Ole Halleluyah “

Afterwards Glowreeyah Braimah ministered the song “Miracle worker” alongside Nathaniel Bassey to the excitement of the congregation as they sang along. Freke Umoh came on stage and took the worship to another level with his songs, leading the people through an energetic praise session which gave way for Babz Carpentarz who took the worship to another level, exalting God in Yoruba. It was simply heavenly. The atmosphere was heavy with God’s presence. People lay on their faces in adulation of Yahweh, the one who is worthy. Paul Chisom came on stage and led another rapturous worship session with songs like “Chioma” before Nathaniel Bassey and Enitan Adaba ministered the popular song “Imela” and ” This God is too good.”

Mairo Ese was overwhelmed and expressed his deep gratitude to everyone who came out to support. In attendance were also Music stars Timi Dakolo, Omawunmi and Waje amongst others.

The album launch was a gathering of worshippers. That’s what it should have been called because everyone got a chance to touch heaven led by the amazing worship ministers and I am certain that we all took a little bit of His presence with us in the hope that the manifest presence of God never leaves. What we felt at ‘The Worship of Yahweh’ was evidence that God desires our worship. It was an amazing night!
